  • Arsenal Transfer Rumours: Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mauro Icardi linked; Lars Bender to replace Francis Coquelin?

The Zlatan Ibrahimovic-to-Arsenal rumours just aren't going away, are they? After Arsenal had been linked with the PSG forward, this time the man himself has added yet more spice to the rumours, as he refused to rule out a transfer to The Emirates Stadium.

"I think there is a lot of talk from today until the European [Championships]," he said in an interview with CNN. "There will be a lot of talks."

Cheeky stuff from Zlatan that'll surely have all of Europe's top clubs on alert.

Arsenal to offer £35million for Mauro Icardi

Think Arsenal. Think Mauro Icardi. It just seems the right combination, Icardi being the kind of player he is. The Argentine was one of Wenger's many transfer targets, but the 22-year old seemed to happy where he was. However, his fortunes have taken a turn for the worse, as the Inter skipper has struggled ever since he has been handed the captain's armband.

With the reports suggesting Arsenal will make a move for the him in the January transfer window, Icardi could well be on his way to North London, unless of course Arsene Wenger dares to Zlatan.

William Carvalho and Lars Bender the potential replacements for Coquelin

Following injuries to two of their defensive midfielders in Francis Coquelin and Mikel Arteta, Arsenal do look in the mood to land Portuguese William Carvalho and German Lars Bender as replacements. Both of them have been heavily linked to Arsenal over the past few months, but you-know-who has always stood in the way.

Arteta and Coquelin all set to enjoy the winters on the bench, the Arsenal boss would almost inevitably make a signing or two for the DM position, and its either Carvalho, or Bender - maybe both as the latest reports are suggesting. Brace yourselves Gooners, these two really look the real deal.

Alexandre Pato on Arsene Wenger's Shortlist?

Wenger has met the Corinthians' director of Football - Edu Gaspar - to discuss a possible move for Alexandre Pato, the former Arsenal midfielder himself confirmed.

"I wasn't there to tout him around but if people ask about him, I'm going to answer,’ he said.

"I talked and they asked questions – not just about him, but about a few of our players. They know them well.

"I had lunch with Arsene Wenger and he asked about [Pato] and about others.

The move certainly looks on.
