Premier League: Transfer Round-up

  • Premier League: Transfer Round-up

As the summer transfer window draws closer and with all of Europe's elite already being in the transfer groove, here we take a look at all the transfer rumours (including the mundane Petr Cech to Arsenal move).

Starting with Arsenal, the Gunners are all set to take a 15-point lead over title rivals (John Terry thinks so) with  Petr Cech being finally revealed as a property of Arsenal F.C. In Chile meanwhile, Arturo Vidal is more focused on The Emirates Stadium in North London than the Copa America 2015 with reports confirming a deal has been reached for the Juventus box-to-box midfielder. Another one of Arsenal's targets, Alexandre Lacazette - one of Europe's deadliest forwards last season with 31 goals in 40 games - has been offered to the North Londoners for 21M per reports in France, which, if true could prove to be quite a deal.

In other news, Manchester United - who have been linked with every player we know does exist - are still interested in Bastian Schweinsteiger with the man himself being flattered by the offer of first team football. Also, LVG is  throwing more cash in for Sergio Ramos with the defender being the latest of all the names that have found themselves as Manchester United targets. Morgan Schneiderlin is soon to be a Red Devil as well and the next Claude Makelele (remember Memphis Depay is the next Cristiano Ronaldo and better than Lionel Messi?).

Champions Chelsea are also willing to do some business and to start with, they are possibly going to seal Radamel "Flop" Falcao's signing next week per the reports while Fluminense teenager Kenedy is to arrive at Stamford Bridge this week as well only to see himself being dubbed the next Ronaldo Nazaria De Lima. Reports also suggest Chelsea are willing to complete a deal for their next bench warmer, i.e., Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic as they prepare for life post Petr Cech.

Finally, Liverpool - the best club in the Premier League per Brendan Rodgers - and well known followers of the "quantity over quality" policy are looking to sign "yet another" player in Nathaniel Clyne and would possibly secure his signature on Monday, which could probably be followed by a deal for Javier Hernandez (Chicharito), a bid for whom has been reportedly made. In addition, the Reds have been handed a blow in their pursuit of Carlos Bacca, with the reports suggesting he chose AC Milan instead, something that doesn't seem to bother Rodgers as he has now shown interest in Germany forward Mario Gomez. Good luck signing him Brendan.

Manchester City - the darlings of the transfer window - are all in for Paul Pogba and awaiting a green signal to throw the cash out and make Pogba their own. The latest of all names to have been linked with City, however, is Sergio Ramos - yes, Sergio Ramos - for whom a bid is being prepared and a bidding war is in sight. Manchester City have also joined the race for Fabian Delph and are expected to snatch him from Aston Villa for a fairly low price.

Elsewhere, the Cristian Benteke transfer saga looks set to continue with Liverpool and Manchester United being the ones leading the race for him. Erik Lamela's time seems to be up at Tottenham as the club are preparing to sell him and if things go as planned, AS Monaco's Yannick Ferreira Carrasco could soon be a Spurs player.
