Crystal Palace have agreed a club-record 13M deal for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
The French playmaker, who had been a target for Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspurs, is set to have a medical on Thursday before the club announce his signing.
Cabaye - who previously played in the Premier League for Newcastle United under Alan Pardew having arrived from Lille in 2011 - now faces a reunion with Pardew again at Crystal Palace.
The Frenchman was signed by PSG on a 19M deal but lack of playing team meant he was always going to be on the move. Pardew now faces a challenge to kickstart the record signing's career again so as to enjoy his services in the deeper role, where we all know just how good Cabaye is.
