Manchester United are to complete the signing of Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger having had a bid accepted, per reports in Germany.
Bild reports the Bayern Munich playmaker has been offered a £140,000 a week three-year contract while the fee is estimated to be around £20M, which seems quite high considering the German international is 30-year old.
Shall the move happen - it is fairly imminent it will - the world-cup winner would yet again link-up with Louis Van Gaal whom he formed a successful working partnership with, during the Dutchman's time as manager back in 2009-11.
Schweinsteiger's could probably be the signing of the summer when you look at the experience he has, and the 8 Bundesliga titles, plus a Champions League, and not to forget a World Cup as well. The German could just prove to be the man the Red Devils need to become serious title contenders.
Manchester United will now hold talks with Bayern Munich on Saturday to finalise the deal.
